Welcome to Contineo Student Ministry
The Contineo Student Ministry exists to encourage students to pursue the Lord with all their hearts, connect with each other in Christ-centered community, and reach the world for Jesus Christ. Our name is a Latin word meaning "to hold together or connect," and it points to the fact that, though our students differ in many respects, we are united in Jesus Christ, through whom all things "hold together" (Colossians 1:17). We provide a safe and caring environment in which students are encouraged to do this. If you have any questions about the ministry, click the QUESTIONS button below to contact a Student Ministry leader.
Threefold Purpose of Contineo
Our threefold purpose operates as our mission statement. Our prayer is that students who come through this ministry may be encouraged in each of these areas:
Grow
Unity around God and His Word
Our culture confronts students with confusion on all sides in many different ways. In this context, it can be hard to know what the truth is, or whether truth exists at all! In Contineo, we believe that the Bible, God’s Word, which reveals who God is and what He wants for us, provides the solid foundation for everything we believe. Students are encouraged to study the Bible and let it influence how they think and live.
Gather
Christ-Centered Community
In Contineo, we believe that the truth is what binds us together. Our common love for Jesus as our Lord and Savior enables us to see past differences and seek each other’s good. Students are encouraged to love one another as God first loved them. We believe that such a community is holistically good and glorifies God.
Go
Students on Mission for the Gospel
God commands all followers of Jesus to “make disciples of all the nations” (Matthew 28:19-20). In Contineo, we believe that this mission is our God-given duty and that it is a joy to share the good news of Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection with other students. Students are encouraged to pray for and find opportunities to share the gospel with others regularly.
Contineo Connect Group
Connect Groups exist to connect its members to God, each other, and the lost. On Sunday mornings, we meet to study a passage of the Bible and discuss how it applies to our lives. We meet in the basement of our Worship Center from 9:45 AM to 10:45 AM.
Contineo on Wednesday Nights
From August to May, Contineo meets on Wednesday nights for fellowship, games, and a lesson. This is a time for our students to have fun with each other and seek God’s truth in a deeper way. We meet in the basement of our Worship Center from 5:45 PM to 7:00 PM.
Zona Camp
Zona is a week-long summer camp experience where lost students accept Christ, followers of Jesus are discipled in their faith, and everyone is challenged to change the world. It’s a high-quality evangelistic, discipleship, and missions focused camp for teens! Zona Camp 2025 will be at California Baptist University in Riverside, California.
