In light of the recent surge in COVID cases across Arizona, the Church Staff and Leadership Team have unanimously agreed that it would be unwise for us to continue meeting in person at this time. Effective immediately, we are temporarily ceasing all in person gatherings and ministry events through the end of July.
We will continue to gather for worship using the online platform at 22church.com/online. Connect Groups, Youth, and Children’s Ministries will also continue to utilize digital resources and online meetings. We will continue to keep a close eye on this situation and, as we draw closer to the end of July, will give updates regarding reopening.
This was not an easy decision and it was one that we hoped we would not have to make. However, one of our church’s values in the reopening process is:
Caring for our Community: We care about our community. The decisions we make impact our church members as well as the neighbors, businesses, and organizations all around us. We will implement a strategy to reopen that helps us maintain and build on our relationships in the community.
I believe the value of caring for our community applies not only to our initial re-opening strategy but extends also to the decisions we make as we navigate this ongoing COVID pandemic.
Thank you and God bless,
